1991 SEASON REVIEW
1991 brought a change of venue to the League with the beginning of head to head competition. Six owners returned from the 1990 campaign combined with two new owners met for fifteen weeks. The best four records at the end of the “regular season” met in the playoffs. The final two weeks of the NFL regular season were the MFL single elimination playoffs. Final league standings were based off the playoffs (the four teams that did not make the playoffs participated in the Mayonnaise Invitational Tournament, “MIT”, to determine final places.
